Vehicle Fires – A Tactical Approach to the Unknown

With the increasing frequency of vehicle fires throughout the nation, and the ever-increasing hazards associated with these fires, firefighters need to understand the appropriate tactics for safe operations at vehicle fires. This program covers all the newly emerging technologies, sound tactics for handling these fires, and safety concerns associated with vehicle fires. This is a three-hour lecture presentation, with an optional hands-on element if specifically requested. Hands-on may be demonstration of tactical elements or live burn based. If it is live burn, the host department MUST provide vehicles and adhere to requirements in NFPA 1403. This program is designed for operational personnel at all levels. Hands-on participation is limited to 25 participants.
