| Stabilization: | The theory behind it? When to? How to? How these scenarios affect extrication: vehicle on all wheels, on its side, on its roof, or cars on top of one another. |
| Extrication: | What happens if “Plan A” does not work? What are other methods or techniques with hydraulic tools that can be utilized? What is the value or importance of having a SOP/SOG in place. Different covered techniques include: roof flop, total roof removal, teamwork, communications, the difference between a dash lift/dash roll and which tools are used for what technique. Door removals from the hinges versus pin, total side removals, shoring and where to place it when performing an extrication and what the officer’s role should be in a car accident will also be covered. |
