Fire Prevention and Life Safety Programs

FASNY spreads fire prevention and life safety knowledge statewide by educating the public as well as firefighters on how best to promote it within their communities. FASNY presents workshops to provide information and ideas to enhance the development of fire prevention programs within fire departments with the overall objective of reducing accidents, serious injuries, and deaths. Every year, FASNY honors two inspiring individuals for their exceptional efforts in teaching fire prevention and life safety to their students with the Fire Safety Educator of the Year and Teacher of the Year awards.
