FASNY Urges You to Make Your Opinion Heard on an Important Codes Issue

This week, the New York State Codes Council will be holding a regular meeting. The Codes Council continues to review potential updates to the New York State Code, including the possible adoption of the International Residential Code (IRC), which calls for the requirement of fire sprinklers in all new residential construction. Opponents of these measures, which will save civilian and firefighter lives by getting water on residential fires that much quicker, have already begun reaching out to the Codes Committee to express their position on this issue. We need you to take a moment and follow the link below to send the Department of State your support for the adoption of requirements for residential fire sprinklers as well as debunking some misinformation currently being spread on this topic.

Please take action today, as we are just days away from this important meeting.
