Fire Prevention and Life Safety Essay Award

The Fire Prevention and Life Safety Essay
Contest targets students in grades 4-8, and provides an additional means to teach fire and burn prevention to children. Each year a new essay theme is selected. A panel of judges at each sectional level will screen and submit six winners from each grade level. A state level panel of judges will choose one first, one second and one third place winner in each grade level. Winners for each grade level receive a plaque and check from FASNY. All sectional winning essays receive a FASNY certificate.
