Pictures of the 2009 FASNY Convention

The 2009 FASNY Convention took place August 19th - 21st in Niagara Falls and featured excellent, educational presentations from nationally known speakers J. Gordon Routley, Chief Billy Goldfeder and Al Brunacini. Keynote Speaker Jim Juneau presented fire safety issues to an attentive audience, and a fire service roundtable made up of J. Gordon Routley, Al Brunacini, Tiger Schmittendorf, Jim Juneau and Dr. William Jenaway discussed other pertinent issues to the fire service. Also, a special presentation to the Clarence Center Volunteer Fire Company was made by President Tom Cuff for their work in the wake of the Flight 3407 tragedy. As far as annual events, the Firefighter of the Year Award presentation to North Syracuse Fire Department Assistant Chief Timothy Ellis, the 2% Tax Forum and the Memorial Service were all well-attended at this year's Convention.
