Emergency Medical Services Committee
The FASNY Emergency Medical Services Committee advises the association in all matters of legislation affecting the EMS community and hosts two educational seminars annually.
The Emergency Medical Services Seminars in Montour Falls and Selden deliver programming covering a variety of EMS-related topics each January and March. Each event features nationally recognized speakers and optional core content workshop provided by DOH-certified instructors.
In 2006, the EMS Committee joined with the FASNY Firefighter of the Year Committee to honor an EMS Provider of the Year. Awardees have proven to be heroes by going above and beyond the call of duty – sometimes even when off-duty.
The EMS Committee also has a presence at the State EMS Council (SEMSCO) to stay on the forefront of EMS issues across New York.
