The Firemen’s Association State of New York more commonly known as FASNY is an organization whose mission is to educate, serve and support volunteer firefighters in New York State. FASNY was founded in 1872 and its main headquarters Albany, New York. FASNY currently has more than 40,000 members.
FASNY currently has a job opening for the Administrator, FASNY/The Firemen’s Home: A nonprofit 92 bed skilled nursing facility in the Columbia County area of New York State in existence since 1892.

Reporting relationship to the FASNY Board of Trustees. Focused on resident care and quality of life. Ensuring innovation and strategic direction in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, values and purpose. Effectively managing resources to ensure maximum performance and impact; integrating skills needed for daily management of the facility; implementing systems nurturing relationships to ensure success in a complex dynamic industry. Leadership skills regarding the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation. Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc. to staff, members, family members, visitors, and government agencies/personnel. Skill set capacity to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or a health related degree or equivalent. Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Must possess a current, unencumbered NYS Nursing Home Administrator’s license.
